Assistant Project Manager Jr. Estimator

DM Coatings is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager Jr. Estimator to join our DM Coatings division. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in construction, painting/coatings, or manufacturing who is looking to build a career in project management and estimating. You'll work side-by-side with senior project managers, learning how to develop estimates, manage schedules, and support projects from bid through completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Estimating & Planning
• Assist in preparing bids, take-offs, and proposals for industrial coating projects.
• Support project managers in developing manpower and equipment schedules.
• Help track project costs, productivity, and progress reports.

Project Coordination

• Maintain accurate project documentation and assist with client communications.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure schedules and quality standards are met.
• Participate in project and client meetings as needed.

Safety & Quality

• Follow DM Coatings safety policies and actively promote safe practices.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical certification, or relevant experience in construction, coatings, or manufacturing.
• Hands-on work experience (field, shop, or site-based) strongly preferred.
• 13 years of related work experience a plus, but motivated entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and documents a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with Bluebeam or estimating software is helpful but not required.

Travel Requirement: This position may at times require extended overnight stays for assigned project locations.
