Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Raleigh, NC offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $18.12 per hour
• Schedule: First Shift Monday-Friday 6:30-3pm

Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Ryder Warehouse Associates work in clean, organized, and well-run facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment

• Products Being Handled: Management of inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors etc.
• Equipment: Stand-up and Sit-Down Forklifts and Pallet Jacks

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25 - 50 % of the day
• Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to work both indoors and outside

Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify: number of pallets picked as well as stage location
• Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
• Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
• Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
