Job Location: Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort – Wenatchee, WA 98801 Salary: $20–$25 per hour Category: Mountain Operations Position: Terrain Park Manager Status: Winter Seasonal, Full‑time Reports to: Snow Surfaces Director OVERVIEW The Terrain Park Manager leads the safety, vision, and operations for all terrain park assets at Mission Ridge, ensuring a premium experience for guests and a productive environment for staff. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership & Supervision: Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate terrain park staff. Park Maintenance & Risk Management: Oversee daily maintenance, inspection, and risk‑management standards for freestyle terrain features. Feature Design & Construction: Lead the design, fabrication, installation, and grooming of terrain park features such as rails, boxes, jumps, and other snow elements. Guest Interaction & Safety: Provide exceptional service, promote safe freestyle practices, and respond to guest concerns or incidents. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with grooming, lift operations, events, ski patrol, and other departments to support resort‑wide initiatives and park‑specific needs. Event Support & Park Culture: Assist in planning and executing park‑specific events, competitions, and promotional projects that engage guests and reinforce resort branding. Administrative Duties: Maintain labor timecards, park logs, inspection documentation, incident reports, and feature change records. On‑Mountain Operations: Be an active team member by performing hands‑on maintenance and riding to access all terrain park zones. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS High school diploma or GED required; minimum two years of terrain park or comparable outdoor leadership experience. Preferred supervisory experience in a snowsports or ski area setting. Strong knowledge of terrain park construction, freestyle terrain risk management, and resort safety protocols. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills; able to handle high‑stress situations. Technical proficiency with hand tools, basic electrical tools, and terrain park maintenance equipment. Intermediate/advanced skiing or snowboarding proficiency to access all park features. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires strenuous physical activity in cold, snowy, and mountainous environments, including: Frequent lifting of objects weighing 50lb or more. Extended periods on skis or a snowboard traversing steep terrain. Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and crouching. Regular standing, walking, and driving of mechanized equipment such as snowcats or snowmobiles. Good visual and auditory acuity for navigation and communication. WORK ENVIRONMENT Almost entirely outdoors in an alpine setting with extreme weather conditions, including snow, wind, and sub‑zero temperatures.
