Job Summary (List Format): Teradata Developer


- Develop, optimize, and maintain Teradata SQL queries, BTEQ scripts, and data processing workflows.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for large-scale data warehouses.
- Utilize Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, MLOAD, and TPT for efficient data loading and processing.
- Write and maintain Shell scripts to automate operational and data-related tasks.
- Develop and support Python scripts for data processing, transformation, and analytics.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues within Teradata databases.
- Perform query tuning and optimization to improve system efficiency and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business, QA, DevOps) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in Teradata, SQL, and cloud data platforms.
- Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to address data and performance challenges.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.



Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on Teradata development experience.
- Strong expertise in Teradata SQL, BTEQ scripting, and Teradata utilities (MLOAD, TPT).
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python programming.
- Experience in data warehouse design and development.
- Strong knowledge of query performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.



Preferred:
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, etc.).
