Requirements & Qualifications Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in purchasing metals and strategic sourcing. 5+ years of experience working with MS Excel or equivalent tools. Knowledge of nonferrous metals and aluminum. Strong understanding of raw material analysis and tracking systems. Expertise in corporate purchasing practices and negotiation strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Background & Skills MBA or advanced degree. Experience building supplier relationships domestically and internationally. Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Source and purchase scrap metal materials, negotiating specifications and payment terms. Protect and expand profit margins while meeting volume and margin goals. Consult with domestic and international customers and internal teams on scrap grading and quality. Travel to client sites to identify opportunities and strengthen business relationships. Analyze local and international raw material markets for trends and supply opportunities. Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and other internal teams to ensure material availability and procurement efficiency. Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and contract approval workflows. Develop budgets, rolling forecasts, and target savings. Maintain and enhance productive supplier relationships while continually identifying new sourcing partners.
