As a Full-Time Police Records Specialist at American Fork City, you will engage in a variety of crucial tasks that support law enforcement operations. Your responsibilities will include sorting, coding, filing, retrieving, and verifying the receipt of complex and sensitive documents. You will meticulously record traffic and misdemeanor citations, vehicle compound notices, and traffic accident reports, ensuring that all crime reports are updated and maintained accurately. Additionally, you will enter arrest and citation information into the system and guarantee the proper delivery of documents related to the legal framework. This position also involves assisting with essential clerical functions within the police department, making your role vital to the effectiveness and efficiency of our law enforcement efforts.

To thrive as a Full-Time Police Records Specialist with American Fork City, specific skills and qualifications are essential. A high school diploma or equivalent, alongside two years of relevant experience, provides a strong foundation for this role. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and two (2) years of experience performing above or related duties.
• Must be able to type with accuracy
• Must be willing to become BCI and NCIC certified
• May be required to become a certified notary public.
