Police Officer-Lateral

The City of Hemet is an equal opportunity employer. The City of Hemet is accepting continuous applications for Police Officer-Lateral - HIRING BONUS ELIGIBLE.

Hiring Bonus Eligibility Requirements:

• An applicant must be employed as a California full-time police officer with at least three (3) consecutive years of street/patrol specific experience at the time that the applicant submitted a job application to the City for the Lateral Police Officer position.
• Three (3) years of experience as a full-time police officer must have occurred at a California POST-certified Police or Sheriff's Department. The following types of experience do not count toward the prerequisite.
• Street/Patrol experience from an agency outside of California.
• Prior experience as a military police officer.
• Prior experience as a correctional officer.
• Prior experience as a sheriff's deputy working at a county jail or state prison.
• No break in service
