Becker & Company is seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Open Records Specialist to join our team supporting national insurance claim investigations. Responsibilities include researching, requesting, and obtaining open records and is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills. As an Open Records Specialist, you’ll help in gathering critical information that allows our clients to make informed decisions through interacting with law enforcement agencies, government offices, and businesses nationwide to obtain accurate, timely records.

What You'll Do

• Research, request, and obtain open records from police departments, government entities, and businesses
• Conduct medical canvasses to verify pre-existing care
• Contact businesses and agencies via telephone to verify facts and gather supplemental information
• Obtain statements from relevant parties, including law enforcement personnel, when required
• Produce clear, well-organized investigative reports
• Work collaboratively while managing individual assignments independently

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online research tools
• Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence speaking over the phone
• Clear, professional written communication and report-writing abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
