Kronos consultant Chicago, Illinois, United States 5 days Onsite Contract: $50/hr on C2C Mandatory Skills: Kronos consultant or UKG Workforce.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: HR & Legal System Administration: - Administer daily operations of HRIS & Legal applications, ensuring reliability, performance, and data integrity.
- Configure and maintain application workflows, rules, security roles, and reporting structures.
- Manage user access, security, and permissions in compliance with data privacy requirements.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to application functionality and data accuracy.
- Support upgrades, patches, and system enhancements by coordinating testing and deployment.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Support: - Translate business needs into functional specifications for system configuration or development.
- Document workflows, processes, and system changes for transparency and training.
- Support user acceptance testing and validate that system changes meet requirements.
- Develop training materials and deliver sessions for end-users.
Project Management Support: - Provide coordination and support for small-to-medium-sized HR & Legal-related projects, including system integrations, implementations, and upgrades.
- Partner with IT, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables align with business requirements.
- Track project timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
- Facilitate meetings, prepare status updates, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Support change management activities by assisting with training, documentation, and communication during project rollouts.
- Ensure testing and validation processes are completed for new functionality prior to deployment.
Process Improvement & Continuous Support: - Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes through system functionality.
- Contribute to process mapping, requirements definition, and change management related to HRIS initiatives.
- Provide second-level support for escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Stay current with technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting and/or administering HRIS platforms (Workday, Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, UKG, or similar).
- Strong understanding of HR processes (e.g., payroll, benefits, recruiting, performance management).
- Experience gathering requirements, writing documentation, and supporting system testing.
- Hands-on experience with system configuration, user security, and reporting.
- Exposure to project management activities and working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with SDLC practices and experience working in Agile or hybrid environments.
Relevant Skills: - Ability to balance technical application administration with business-facing analysis and project coordination.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
