Location: Las Cruces, NM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Location: On-Site

Overview

Ace Handyman Services is a veteran-owned, licensed general contracting company providing residential and commercial repair, maintenance, remodeling, and improvement services throughout Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, Santa Fe, and surrounding communities.

As we continue expanding our residential and commercial service offerings, we are seeking experienced Handyman / Craftsman professionals who can work independently, deliver high-quality workmanship, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Duties

• Complete residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and improvement projects.
• Perform carpentry, drywall repair, painting, flooring, tile work, trim installation, and finish carpentry.
• Install doors, cabinetry, shelving, fixtures, hardware, and other building components.
• Complete light plumbing and electrical repairs, replacements, and installations.
• Assist with remodeling, renovations, tenant improvements, and facility maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot maintenance and repair issues independently.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, facility managers, and commercial clients.
• Maintain accurate job notes, project documentation, and material records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Ace Handyman Services professionally at all times.

Long-Term Success

• Become a trusted craftsman for both residential and commercial clients.
• Support larger renovation, maintenance, and improvement projects.
• Contribute to the growth of the company's commercial maintenance division.
• Advance into leadership opportunities such as Lead Craftsman, Commercial Project Lead, Estimator, or Project Management roles.

Requirements

Must Have

• 5+ years of handyman, maintenance, remodeling, construction, or related experience.
• Strong carpentry and general repair skills.
• Working knowledge across multiple trades.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation (truck or van preferred).
• Professional-grade hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.

Nice to Have

• Experience with commercial maintenance and facility repair projects.
• Experience working in office buildings, retail spaces, medical facilities, schools, apartment communities, or property management environments.
• Experience with tenant improvement projects.
