Position Overview Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions, a global leader in Industrial Coating Solutions, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Environmental Health & Safety Manager to join our team. The role involves leading and managing all EH&S programs across multiple sites, supervising site maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance in light assembly, machining, and laboratory environments. Responsibilities Maintenance Management (Site) Manage staff and contractors performing routine maintenance in electrical, plumbing, EHS, and equipment setup. Oversee execution of work orders and help‑desk requests via the online service request system. Coordinate scheduled inspections of safety equipment, grounds, and facilities. Prepare reports and presentations on maintenance/facilities observations. Security (Site) Create, modify, and troubleshoot security and fire system functions using access‑control software. Co‑coordinate as Workplace Threat Response Team (TRT) member and collaborate with outside security consultants. Environmental Compliance (Multiple Sites) Manage environmental compliance programs (waste, storm water, wastewater, air, emergency response, DOT, RCRA, EPCRA). Maintain compliance records and prepare written responses to regulatory inspections. Submit required agency reports (Annual Report, SARA, TRI, permits, emergency notifications). Conduct facility inspections and coordinate RCRA and DOT training. Provide regulatory interpretations for RCRA and other environmental regulations. Make recommendations on actions to management and monitor daily compliance. Safety Compliance (Multiple Sites) Manage health and safety programs (forklift training, LOTO, cranes, hoists). Maintain safety training records and MSDS inventory. Assist HR with BWC claims, injury reports, and OSHA 300 logs. Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Act as Emergency Coordinator and manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Business Continuity Plan. Develop and deliver OSHA training and other safety programs. Lead regulatory inspections and provide KPI tracking for EH&S. Project Management Develop and implement project plans to meet departmental and corporate regulatory goals. Support internal environmental auditing, groundwater monitoring, NPDES permitting, SPCC program, and other environmental initiatives. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health & safety, chemistry, engineering, environmental or related field required. Equivalent experience will be considered. At least five (5) years of successful, hands‑on environmental, health, and/or safety experience. Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred. Working knowledge of environmental and related regulations (RCRA, OSHA, EPA, CWA, CAA, etc.) required. Preferred Skills and Abilities Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to develop comprehensive reports. Self‑starter who is detail oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, compliance, and quality.
