Director of Business Development - Physician Services Hunter Recruiting is seeking a highly motivated Director of Business Development – Physician Services to help expand our partnerships with hospitals, health systems, and radiology groups nationwide. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and developing new business opportunities with healthcare organizations facing radiologist staffing and coverage challenges. You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive, clinical, and operational leaders, helping them navigate innovative solutions for radiology workforce needs. This is a business development role focused on creating long-term partnerships and generating new revenue opportunities. The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging senior healthcare decision-makers, navigating complex hospital organizations, and leading conversations around physician staffing, workforce shortages, service delivery, and operational performance. Responsibilities Identify and engage prospective hospitals, health systems, imaging centers, and radiology groups. Develop and execute strategic outreach campaigns to generate new business opportunities. Build relationships with key stakeholders across target accounts through phone, email, networking, conferences, and referrals. Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities and consistently meet business development goals and sales targets. Establish credibility with senior healthcare leaders, including: Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) Chief Operating Officers (COOs) Vice Presidents of Medical Affairs Radiology Department Chairs Medical Directors Lead discovery conversations to understand staffing, coverage, productivity, and operational challenges. Position the organization as a strategic partner in addressing radiologist workforce needs. Assess customer needs and align solutions with organizational goals. Develop business cases and value propositions tailored to hospital and health system priorities. Coordinate with clinical, recruiting, credentialing, and operations teams to ensure successful solution design and implementation. Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution. Monitor industry trends related to radiologist shortages, workforce planning, telemedicine, and healthcare delivery. Maintain awareness of competitive solutions and market dynamics. Provide feedback to leadership regarding customer needs, market opportunities, and growth strategies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of business development, physician staffing, healthcare services, or healthcare technology sales experience. Experience prospecting and developing net-new business opportunities. Proven ability to build relationships with executive decision-makers. Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills. Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline and achieving performance goals. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling into hospitals, health systems, or physician groups. Experience in physician staffing, locum tenens, radiology services, teleradiology, healthcare workforce solutions, or healthcare technology. Existing relationships within hospital administration or radiology leadership. Familiarity with healthcare contracting, credentialing, physician workforce planning, or radiology operations. Experience working with executive-level buyers in complex healthcare organizations.
