The Digital & Offset Press Operator will be responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the Print Shop including using advanced skills to set up and operate sheet-fed offset printing press to print single and spot color materials from plates. Operate and maintain all digital presses. Process plates through the use of the computer to plate system. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duplicates printed materials through the use of sheet-fed offset printing presses. Processes plates on the computer to plate system on a complex level. Operates computer programmable copiers and scanners. Operates EnveJet envelope printers. Trains and/or assists other personnel as needed Performs routine maintenance on equipment as needed Orders and/or maintains inventory Performs special jobs as assigned. Keeps record of jobs performed Maintains a good working knowledge of new equipment and printing procedures and a working knowledge of bindery equipment. Assists and relieves Bindery personnel as needed. Performs all other related duties as assigned High school diploma or GED. Four (4) years of related technical experience. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent may be required to bend, hear, keyboard, sit, stand, talk, work alone and with others, and work overtime.
