Job Description

This role supports the engineering and manufacturing of aerospace components, with a focus on composites, production readiness, and cross-functional collaboration. The position works closely with design, quality, and operations teams to ensure products move efficiently from concept through production while meeting strict industry requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support throughout the build of aerospace components, including reviewing designs, selecting materials, evaluating tolerances, and ensuring manufacturability. Convert customer specifications and drawings into clear manufacturing plans, work instructions, and inspection requirements. Assist with prototype development, design iterations, and scaling into full production. Composites & Process Development Utilize experience with composite materials, including resins, layup processes, curing techniques, bonding, machining, and assembly. Establish and document process parameters to drive consistency and product quality. Partner with cross‑functional teams to introduce new materials, tooling, and technologies. Manufacturing Optimization Support process development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and throughput. Investigate production challenges, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and standard work. Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to aerospace standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Support inspection processes and disposition of nonconforming material. Participate in audits and help resolve any findings. Program Support Contribute to project planning, including risk assessments, cost estimates, and lead time evaluations. Assist with new product introductions and transitioning programs into production. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace, or a related discipline. Experience 5–7 years of experience in aerospace or advanced composites within a manufacturing setting. Background supporting hardware through build, inspection, and delivery cycles. Exposure to defense‑related programs is a plus. Any experience in customer‑facing or technical sales environments is beneficial but not required. Technical Skills Familiarity with aerospace quality systems (e.g., AS9100) and regulatory requirements such as ITAR. Experience working with CAD models (CATIA preferred). Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Experience generating technical documentation and reports. Soft Skills Self‑driven with a results‑oriented mindset. Strong organizational and time management skills. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
